Harvetsing crews are back at work in Cougar Park so restricted access is once a gain in place - security will be on the gate 7am until 4.30pm weekdays and this means no access during these hours. Please abide by these measures peolpes livlehoods are at stake as well as our safety. There are no exceptions.

An ASB money card was found in Cougar Park this morn (Sun) - if it's yours call at Morrisseys and pick it up.
Hi All, just a quick note regarding the Xmas break. The forestry crew will will finish loading trucks next Tuesday 19/12/17.... So as of 4pm Tuesday security will leave and the park will be open throughout the day again. Felling will start up again on Thursday 4/1/18 at which time security will be back on the gate.
At least there’ll be a couple of weeks of daytime riding!

Very much weather dependant, but at this stage they are indicating completion in May

The Tokoroa Mountain Bike Club and Hancock Forest Management own and maintain “Cougar MTB Park” which is located off Mossop Road in Tokoroa.A huge thanks to the local Tokoroa company, Waratah NZ Ltd. We were lucky enough to be selected to receive some free labour from some of their team as part of the Waratah Community Day. We asked them to move some picnic tables closer to the pump track and open up Tiggers Tail after damage from the forestry operations.
End result - Tables at the pump track and Tiggers tail is open.
That's great, will be nice to see the tables being used

Great effort today by the crew from Waratah. Getting through all those jobs today was outstanding, Really good to see Tiggers back in operation and looking a treat. The remedial work on Speedy Cheetah has made a big difference and the BBQ tables will be much more useful next to the pump track.
